BIHAR: The capital city of Patna is set to receive a major boost in its development. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will inaugurate a state-of-the-art 100-bed model hospital and the riverfront project. The launch of these two projects is expected to significantly strengthen healthcare services and urban infrastructure.
According to government officials, the 100-bed model hospital will be equipped with modern medical facilities. It will provide patients with emergency care, OPD services, advanced diagnostic facilities, operation theaters, an ICU, and the expertise of specialist doctors. The hospital’s opening will ensure better healthcare access for residents of Patna and neighboring districts, while also likely easing the patient load on major government hospitals.
Meanwhile, the riverfront project is viewed as a significant step towards beautifying the capital and boosting tourism. Under this project, modern walkways, seating areas, attractive lighting, green spaces, public amenities, and improved infrastructure for recreation have been developed along the banks of the River Ganges. Once operational, it will offer a new attraction for both locals and tourists.
The state government states that the objective of these projects is not merely to expand infrastructure but also to improve the citizens’ quality of life. The development of modern public spaces alongside enhanced healthcare services is considered a crucial step in establishing Patna as a modern, well-organized city.
The administration has finalized preparations for the inauguration ceremony. Security arrangements and all other necessary provisions at the venue are being put in place. Officials from various departments are also continuously reviewing the preparations for the event.
Experts believe that the model hospital will strengthen the healthcare sector, while the riverfront project will add a new dimension to tourism, local business, and the city’s identity. These initiatives are also expected to generate employment opportunities and benefit the local economy.
Patna’s residents hope that the operation of these projects will bring about positive changes in the city’s healthcare and urban development sectors. The government also regards this as a significant achievement in the overall development of the capital.
