Police has arrested Pastor Ranjit Bada who lured people to convert to another religion in Ladua village of Rajpur police station area of the district. The accused pastor used to lure people to convert to another religion. He used to lure the villagers to convert to another religion. He used to continuously motivate the villagers to convert to another religion. He influenced a person of the village so much that he started harassing his wife to convert to another religion. After the complaint of the woman and investigation, the accused pastor was arrested under Section 299 BNS and Chhattisgarh Freedom of Religion Act.
Rajpur police station in-charge inspector Bhardwaj Singh said that a woman named Mati Gond, resident of Ladua, had filed a written complaint against Pastor Ranjit Bada. Pastor Ranjit (originally from Jhingadad Karji) has been living in Ladua village since three-four years ago after buying land and building a house in the village. He has converted the house into a temporary church. The pastor is continuously preaching Christianity in the village. The villagers are being pressured to convert by promising them that if they convert to Christianity, they will not suffer from any disease, there will be no dearth of wealth and their children will remain healthy.
