jagdalpur news. People of Bastar will no longer have to run to the capital Raipur to get a passport. Passport Seva Kendra has started from today (21 September) in the divisional headquarters Jagdalpur. Joint Secretary and Chief Passport Officer Dr. KJ Srinivasa, Passport Seva Kendra has been inaugurated in the presence of Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap.
Actually, there was a demand to open a passport service center in Bastar for the last several years. Approval was also received for this in the year 2019. An old building in the Collectorate office was renovated and brightened by spending Rs 17 lakh 45 thousand. The building was ready a year ago. In which the entire setup of the passport office has been prepared.
Along with this, due to technical reasons, it took almost time from the year 2019 till now to open the passport service center. No clearance was being received from the company that was to be used for the passport office. But later the technical team of another company came here and completed the survey work. Now the network has also been arranged.
