New Delhi: The passing out parade (POP) of the third batch of Agniveers is scheduled at Indian Naval Ships (INS) Chilka on Friday. This will almost mark the successful completion of the training. 2,600 firefighters, including women, have undergone rigorous training at Naval Base Chilka in Odisha.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R. Hari Kumar will be the chief guest and will review the POP after sunset. Vice Admiral V. Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command will also be present for the POP.
The Defense Ministry said that this important event will be witnessed by the proud family members of those who have passed the Agniveer course. Apart from this, various high achievers and sports personalities will also be present during the ceremony and inspire the Agniveers with their remarkable achievements.
The Naval Chief will also attend the closing ceremony and present awards and trophies to various divisions and unveil the trainees’ bilingual magazine ‘Ankur’.
