Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra has established herself as one of Bollywood’s leading actresses, having done a variety of roles over the years. Her most recent role in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ earned widespread praise from the audience. Currently holidaying in the UK, Parineeti has also shown keen interest in exploring work opportunities in Europe. In a recent interview with ‘Eastern Eye’, Parineeti was asked if she has ever thought of going beyond Indian cinema, given her versatility. Pleased with the suggestion, she revealed that she is indeed open to new opportunities, especially in the UK. “Oh, thank you very much. Why not? Actually, I really want to work in the UK and explore opportunities. That’s something I would be very interested in, maybe not western like Hollywood. Something creative in the UK itself,” she said. Parineeti also spoke about her career priorities, stressing that she is now focusing on quality over quantity. She shared that she would prefer to take up projects that really excite her, even if it means doing fewer films.
Recalling her experience with ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’,
she revealed that though the film was completed two years ago, her passion for the role made the wait worthwhile. “My biggest learning is that I should take up roles that excite me personally, that require homework and that touch people’s hearts. That’s the experience I’m looking for now,” she said. While Parineeti has been sharing glimpses of her London vacation, her fans are eagerly waiting for news of her next project. So far, she has not announced any new film following the success of Amar Singh Chamkila, which premiered on Netflix earlier this year and received rave reviews from both audiences and critics. Parineeti made her acting debut in 2011 with the romantic comedy Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, where her performance earned her several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She soon became known for her strong screen presence and ability to play a variety of characters. Over the years, Parineeti has starred in several successful films, such as Ishaqzaade (2012), Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (2021).
