The question papers of the quarterly examination have been prepared by the committee constituted in collaboration with the Science Council under the leadership of District Mission Coordinator Samagra Shiksha, Kamal Narayan Chandrakar. The question papers have been prepared on the basis of the blue print of the board examination, which included subject experts from all the blocks of the district. Password encrypted question papers have been made available to the head readers and principals to maintain the confidentiality of the question papers.

For the first time, exams are being conducted simultaneously for students from class 1 to 12 in all schools of the district, which is being considered historic. The results of this exam will be declared after the Dussehra holiday, after which the performance of the students will be discussed in parent-teacher meetings. Under the Badhte Kadam scheme, not only exams are being conducted, but attention is also being paid to the regular attendance of students. If a student is absent for more than two days, the principal contacts the parents and inquires the reasons for absence. This initiative has seen improvement in the attendance of students in board classes in the quarterly exams.

Special practice exams are being conducted in the district as part of the preparation for the “Parakh” exam to be held at the national level for students of class III, VI and IX. A practice exam based on the pattern of “Parakh” exam was conducted on September 5 for the students of class III, in which the students were given practice in filling the OMR sheet and solving the probable questions. Such practice tests for classes VI and IX will be conducted after Dussehra holidays to help students prepare for the “Parakh” exam.
