Entertainment: Recently, Panchayat actor Pankaj Jha accused Pankaj Tripathi of romanticising his struggles. Now, the Mirzapur actor has come forward and reacted to the same. See what he said. Panchayat actor Pankaj Jha recently took an indirect dig at Mirzapur actor Pankaj Tripathi for romanticising his struggles. Now, ‘Kalina Bhaiya’ has come forward and responded to such claims in an interview. In a conversation with India Today, Pankaj Tripathi said that he never tried to romanticise his struggles and also mentioned that he never tried to seek sympathy for his struggles. ”I never romanticised my journey or struggles. Yes, I mentioned that my wife used to earn while I used to look for work.
I never said that I would tie a gamchha (towel) around my waist and sleep outside Andheri station. My life was good and happy when we moved to Mumbai. I never tried to glamorise it or seek sympathy from it,” Pankaj Tripathi said. Talking about whether his journey to stardom inspires people, he said, ”We live our own journey and fight our own battles. When you read or hear these stories, some people might get inspired. And even if they don’t get inspired, it’s okay. One should just live their life the way they want to.” ”I have been very influenced by Om sahab (Om Puri), Irrfan or even Manoj bhaiya (Manoj Bajpayee). I have definitely drawn inspiration from them. Similarly, some people might get inspired by my or someone else’s journey. We are all on our own journey and if someone can connect with any part of it, not necessarily in terms of acting and art, but in any way,” he added further about his inspiration in life.
Pankaj Tripathi had once recalled the ‘chappal waali incident’ on The Kapil Sharma Show, where he revealed that when he was working in a hotel, Manoj Bajpayee had stayed there as a guest. Being a big fan of Bajpayee, he kept his slippers with him. Talking about work, Pankaj Tripathi will next be seen reprising his popular role of Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur 3. The series will release on Amazon Prime Video on July 5.
