Panchkula: Prostitution racket busted in spa centre, one arrested, three rescued

Panchkula: Panchkula police has busted a prostitution racket being run under the guise of a spa centre in Sector 5 of Panchkula. Police have arrested a man named Harish Arora and rescued three women from the spot. Police have also recovered some cash along with some objectionable items. Police officials said city resident Ricky Dharmani, who runs a shop at Mansa Devi Complex (MDC) in Sector 5, had lodged a complaint with the department that Harish was running a prostitution racket under the guise of a spa centre at his shop.

They said the accused used to collect money from people before entering the spa centre and later people were expected to give money to the women. During the raid, police sent a fake customer to find out the activity going on at the site. The fake customer informed the police about the ongoing activity by giving a missed call on their phone. Soon the police officials raided the site and caught the person running the centre. Police officials said the accused was produced in a local court and sent to 14-day judicial custody. Police are also recording the statements of girls rescued from the spot.
