Islamabad, July 14: The situation remains tense after the violence in Rawalakot of Kashmir (PoK) on Tuesday. Six civilians were killed in firing during a clash between Pakistani security forces and local people. After the incident, anger has increased in the area and a large number of people are expressing their anger against the Pakistani administration. According to the information, the situation worsened near the new bus terminal of Rawalakot city when a clash started between security forces and protesters. During this period, many people were injured in the firing by the security forces, out of which six civilians died. Zahid Mughal, Zafar Mughal, Arsalan Akbar and Wajid Hayat and others are said to be among the dead. Wajid Hayat died near Matiyal Mira Bus Terminal in Rawalakot. There is a lot of anger among the local people after the incident. This violence has taken place at a time when dissatisfaction is increasing against the long-standing administration and Pakistan government in slave Kashmir. Local people have been protesting in the past also regarding economic problems, inflation, power crisis and administrative policies. According to reports, a day before the violence, people of the PoK community living in America had demonstrated outside the White House in Washington. The protesters had demanded intervention from the international community regarding the situation of slave Kashmir. He raised his voice regarding the human rights situation in the area and the problems of the local people. The protesters said that the problems of the people of slave Kashmir need to be addressed at the global level. He appealed to international organizations to monitor the situation in the area and ensure the safety of civilians. After the Rawalkot incident, security arrangements have been increased in the area. The local administration has deployed additional forces to control the situation. However, tension still persists between the local people and the security forces. Anti-government protests have taken place many times in the past in Ghulam Kashmir. Local organizations allege that the demands of the people of the area are being ignored for a long time. At the same time, security measures have been taken from time to time by the Pakistan administration to control these demonstrations. The latest incident has once again exposed political and social discontent in PoK. The situation remains sensitive after the death of six civilians and protests are expected to increase in the coming days.
