Painter crushed by heavy vehicle, died on the spot

Korba. Narayan Khare, a 55-year-old painter, died in a road accident on the Bharatmala main road. He was hit by a speeding heavy vehicle, after which the driver fled the scene. Narayan Khare was taken to the District Medical College Hospital in an injured condition, where he died during treatment.

The incident occurred on the Pantora-Korba Bharatmala main road on Thursday morning. Narayan Khare, a resident of Sitamani Kumhar Basti, was returning to Korba on his bike after attending the Dashahara ceremony in Baloda Bagdabari. The accident occurred during his return journey late at night. After the accident, Narayan Khare lay bleeding on the road. Passersby noticed him and immediately rushed him to Korba District Medical College Hospital in a private vehicle. However, despite the efforts of doctors, he could not be saved.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the family rushed to the District Medical College Hospital. They inquired about the incident and demanded a thorough investigation and action against the culprits. The deceased’s son Radheshyam Khare said that his father had gone to a Dashahara program at a relative’s place.
