Padma Lakshmi became the first transgender advocate of Kerala

Kochi, (IANS) | Kerala got its first transgender lawyer as Padma Lakshmi enrolled as an advocate at a function organized by the Bar Council of Kerala on Sunday. Transgender woman Lakshmi, who did her law graduation from Government Law College-Ernakulam, has now written her name in the record books by becoming the first transgender in the state to wear black.

Kerala Law Minister P Rajeev congratulated him on his social media account. Her achievement and her success will be a morale booster for the entire transgender community, he added.
