Paan cart sealed, operator arrested with ganja and knife

Raipur. The paan cart operator has been arrested. Khamtarai police station received information from an informer that a person was selling ganja in packets under the guise of a paan cart in Ganga Nagar Khamtarai. The senior officials were immediately informed about the above information and a raid was conducted where the paan cart operator Pando Sahu, resident of Ganga Nagar, was found keeping 02 kg ganja worth Rs 22000 in his paan cart.

Along with this, three knives and a sledgehammer were also found kept in a bag. The paan cart was sealed on the spot and a case number 646/25, section 20 (B) NDPS Act 25,27 Arms Act was registered against the accused in Khamtarai police station. The accused was produced in court and sent on judicial remand. Earlier also, a meeting of all the paan cart operators was held and they were instructed not to sell any illegal material related to intoxication. A meeting of potters was also held in the police station area, in which 1700 chillums were destroyed by 08 potters themselves on being told about the use of chillum for smoking ganja. Such action will continue in future as well.
