One dead, 10 injured in road accident in Khowai district

Tripura: 10 people were seriously injured in a collision between a passenger auto and a pickup truck in Sonatola village of Khowai district on Thursday, while another person died on the spot. Regarding the incident, Khowai District Superintendent of Police Ramesh Yadav said that one person died while ten others were injured and were referred to GB Pant Hospital in Agartala.

During heavy rain in Khowai this afternoon, a passenger auto and a pickup truck met with an accident. In this, 10 people were injured and one died on the spot. After the incident, we shifted one person to Khowai, where the woman was declared dead, and the rest were referred to GB Pant Hospital in Agartala. Due to rain, the auto driver somehow collided with the pickup and then overturned. There were around six people inside the auto,” said the SP.
