Howrah. The fast track court of Howrah district of West Bengal on Thursday sentenced a woman and her lover to death. The mother, along with her lover, had murdered her one and a half year old son. On the basis of evidence, the fast track court found both of them guilty and the judge announced the death penalty. It is being told that after 1990, the District Court sentenced two murderers to death. According to the information, the innocent child was murdered in December 2015. Howrah GRP had recovered the mutilated body of a child from an abandoned bag in Falaknama Express. After investigation, GRP arrested mother Haseena Sultana and her lover Bhanu Shah from Andhra Pradesh in this case. Hasina Sultana had left her husband at her in-laws house in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and went with her lover along with her child.
After this, she started living with her lover Bhanu Shah in Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad. Her lover lived in a rented house there. But Haseena’s son Jisan was a thorn in the road between the two. Therefore, with the help of her lover, she killed the innocent girl. After this, the body was brought to Secunderabad station in a travel bag and left under the seat of Falaknama Express. Meanwhile, after not being able to find their daughter and grandson, Sultana’s family (the child’s grandmother) lodged a missing report with her photo at the police station. After the dead body of an abandoned child was found at Howrah station, the investigation proceeded on the basis of those photographs. Then GRP arrested Sultana and her lover Bhanu from Andhra Pradesh. Government lawyer Arindam Mukhopadhyay said that the fast track court judge found both of them guilty on the basis of evidence and sentenced them to death. On the other hand, on this decision, the lawyer of the convicts Firoz Sarkar said that they will challenge the hanging order in the High Court.
