Rampur: During a wedding in a village in Rampur police station area of Uttar Pradesh, the groom made such a demand after the garland ceremony that a ruckus broke out. The bride, angry at the groom’s demand, refused to marry. After this, the wedding procession returned without the bride. The matter has become a topic of discussion in the area. The girl’s side has reached the police station and given a complaint to the police. The matter is of Chandrapur Khurd village of the police station area. The bride’s family told that her daughter’s wedding procession had come on Thursday evening. During the wedding rituals, the ritual of garland ceremony was also completed. When it was time for the ritual of pheras in the wedding program, the groom suddenly demanded two lakh cash. Due to which a situation of ruckus arose.
The girl’s side says that they had also arranged for all the items including a bike as per the dowry decided earlier by the groom’s side. But, on hearing about two lakhs, the family was shocked. The bride refused to marry the said groom. Due to which the wedding procession returned without the bride. On Friday morning, the bride’s family, along with the villagers, reached the police station and filed a complaint regarding the matter.
