Odisha: Woman kills husband with male friend’s help, both arrested

Jharsuguda: A woman and her male fried were arrested on charge of killing her husband at Tunguripada village under Rengali Police Station limits of Jharsuguda district today.

One Saktidhar Sahoo had a heated argument with his wife Geeta Mirdha on Tuesday night over some unknown reason. Geeta’s male friend, namely Tikinu Kisan, was also present when the couples were fighting.

Irked over Saktidhar’s exchange of words with Geepta, Tikinu had a scuffle with Saktidhar following which the later fell on the ground. When Saktidhar was lying on the floor, his wife Geeta attacked him with a wooden stick on his head.

The attack was so severe that Saktidhar died on the spot. Following Saktidhar’s death, Geepta and Tikinu carried his body and successfully dumped it on a paddy field without anyone’s noticed.

Later, a team of local police reached the spot after getting information about Saktidhar’s death from the locals. They sent the body to the local hospital for postmortem and started an investigation into the matter.

In course of probe, cops got to know that the deceased was killed both by Geepta and Tikinu and arrested them. Later, police forwarded both of them to the court by following all legal process. However, the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be known. Cop are trying to find it out.
