Odisha to witness rainfall for two more days, IMD issues yellow warning
Bhubaneswar: Odisha to witness rainfall for two more days, predicted the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and issued a Yellow warning for heavy rain over four districts of Odisha.
According to the weather department, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur.

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of 21.12.2024):
YELLOW WARNING: Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur.
Light to moderate rain or Thundershower very likely to occur at many places in the districts of Coastal Odisha & at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha.
Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Sundargarh.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of 21.12.2024 to 8.30 AM of 22.12.2024):
Light rain or Thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Meanwhile, the office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued the following advisory:
Districts under yellow warning to keep administrative machinery ready to face any eventuality.
People may be advised to keep watch on weather.
Advice for fishermen to be strictly implemented.
Submit report on damage, if occurred due to heavy rainfall immediately for information of the govt.
