Odisha govt begins process to cancel ration cards acquired by Pakistanis and Bangladeshis

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has started the process to cancel the ration cards illegally acquired by several foreign nationals from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
The State government has directed all the district collectors to identify the foreign nationals who have managed to get the ration cards under the state’s food security schemes and cancel them at the earliest possible time.
While speaking to the media persons, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said, “Orders have been issued to the district collectors to conduct a survey to find out the foreign nationals of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar who have availed the ration cards with the help of either a politician or an officer.”
“If any infiltrators are found to have possessed ration card in any part of the state, their names will be removed from the list of the eligible beneficiaries,” he added.
