Odisha government will run free bus service till Kolkata for stranded passengers in the state

Bhubaneswar (IANS) | The Odisha government on Sunday announced free bus service from three cities of the state to Kolkata to facilitate smooth transportation of passengers stranded in the state due to the train accident in Balasore, Odisha. Due to disruption of normal train services to Kolkata due to Bahnaga train accident, people are facing a lot of problems in reaching Kolkata.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced free bus service from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to Kolkata from Sunday for the stranded passengers in the state, the Chief Minister’s Office said. This arrangement will continue till normal train service is restored on the Balasore route.

It may be mentioned that around 50 buses will leave for Kolkata daily from three cities of Odisha, the Chief Minister’s Office said. The entire cost will be borne from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
