Odisha: Doctors were brought to the flood-affected village by tractor for treatment

Odisha: Doctors are considered as the form of God on earth. An incident from the flood-affected area of Malkangiri bears testimony to this. On Tuesday, like any other day, the doctors, nurses and other staff at Kinga Primary Health Centre were busy with their usual chores. The doctor received information that some people in Kamarpali of Maithili block were ill and needed immediate medical attention. The Kamarpali area was submerged in floodwater and cut off from the rest of the world. The doctor was caught in a dilemma. On one hand, patients were waiting for him, on the other, his life was also in danger.

Finally, the noble profession in him prevailed and he, the ASHA worker and his team decided to serve in the flood-affected village. They arranged a tractor and the team left for Kamarpali. The team forgot the danger. Finally reached the village and treated the patients. The relatives of the patients and the villagers considered the doctor and his team as a boon from God. They thanked the team and praised them.
