Bhubaneswar: IPS Yogesh Bahadur Khurania was appointed as the new DGP of Odisha after the new BJP government came to power in the state. Meanwhile, Khurania’s core team has been formed with a major reshuffle in the state police yesterday evening.
The 1990 batch IPS Mr Khurania is working as the Chief of Odisha Police Force while two other senior IPS officers are the DGs of other two departments.
The 1988 batch IPS Arun Kumar Roy has been posted as the DG of Jail Department while 1990 batch IPS Dr. Sudhasanshu Shadangi is the DG of Fire Services Department.
Now let’s see which officers are in the core team of Police DG Yogesh Bahadur Khurania. The 1998 batch IPS Dayal Gangwar has been appointed as Additional DG Police Headquarters.
1993 batch IPS Vinaytosh Mishra has been posted as Additional DG of CID Crime Branch for investigation of complex and sensitive cases.
RP Koche, IPS of the same batch, has been given the responsibility of director of operations.
The 2008 batch IPS Akhilesvar Singh has been posted as DIG of Operations.
Dr. Suresh Devadatta Singh of 1998 batch has been appointed as the twin city Commissioner of Police. This is his first appointment in the Commissionerate police.
Similarly, 2011 batch IPS Pinak Mishra who was SP of Puri has been posted as DCP of Bhubaneswar while earlier he has worked as DCP of Cuttack for a long time. On the other hand, 2013 batch IPS Jagmohan Meena, SP of Ganjam, has been posted as Cuttack DCP.
