Bhubaneswar: A high-level delegation from Odisha led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday held a roadshow in Singapore to showcase the state’s investment potential. The delegation, which is in Singapore since November 16, held an interactive session on business opportunities in Odisha aimed at attracting investors and industry leaders from the ASEAN region. The Odisha government said in a statement that the session highlighted the state’s “rich resources, world-class infrastructure and skilled workforce, positioning it as a major destination for investments.”
Over 300 delegates, including prominent industry leaders, investors and Odia diaspora, attended the event. “The enthusiastic participation of industry delegates from Singapore and its neighbouring countries reflects their growing interest in the emerging opportunities in Odisha,” the statement said. During the day, Majhi also held discussions with Singapore’s Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat along with Industry Minister Sampad Chandra Swain. The interaction focused on Odisha’s goal of developing integrated multimodal logistics solutions, drawing inspiration from Singapore’s advanced transport systems as well as digital freight management and coastal shipping. The Odisha delegation also visited the Port of Singapore Authority to study best practices in port management and logistics.

Majhi said, “Our visit to Singapore has been extremely successful. Over the last three days, we interacted with industry leaders, visited advanced ports and industrial complexes, and acquired valuable inputs to boost Odisha’s growth.” Swain added: “Odisha is open for business, and we are poised to scale new heights. By prioritising skill development, we have transformed Odisha into the skill capital of India with global collaborations including ITES Singapore. Our rich resources, world-class infrastructure and strategic location make Odisha an ideal choice for industries.”
