Odisha : Central intelligence agencies had earlier cautioned the Odisha government about the threat of terrorism at the Jagannath temple, which is constantly crowded with pilgrims. Later, the Home Ministry tightened security. It issued orders not to film scenes at the temple using drones. Although rules have been announced in this regard, they are not being followed properly. Often scenes are filmed using drones. Although cases have been registered against some people in this regard, the situation remains the same. In this context, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan told reporters in Puri on Friday that the government has decided to implement an anti-drone system for the temple. He said discussions are going on with the Home Ministry in this regard. He said the anti-drone system would be introduced in a few days to repel drones flying over the temple. He said the Srikshetra administration has agreed to bear some of its expenses. The minister said tight security has been introduced for the temple.
