Raipur. On the occasion of National Voter’s Day, voters will be administered oath to exercise their franchise in all elections. On the instructions of the Election Commission of India, National Voter’s Day is celebrated every year on 25 January across the country.
This time the 15th National Voter’s Day will be celebrated. The Commission has given instructions to administer oath to officers and employees on 24 January at 11 am in states having holiday on Saturday. Whereas where there is no holiday on Saturday, it will be organized on 25 January.
The General Administration Department of the State Government has issued a circular to the secretaries of all departments, Chairman of Revenue Board Bilaspur, all department heads, divisional commissioners and collectors to comply with the instructions of the Election Commission of India. In the circular, instructions have been given to ensure that oath taking program is organized for officers and employees on the occasion of National Voter’s Day at 11 am on 24 January in offices having holiday on Saturday. On the occasion of National Voter’s Day, the process of taking oath to exercise the franchise in all elections will be done in all government offices and educational institutions.
