Vijayawada. Vijayawada: On the first day of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Session on Friday, ruling Telugu Desam MLAs will pay homage to NTR’s statue at Venkatapalem before entering the House.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed his party MLAs to come to Venkatapalem by 9 am wearing yellow shirts. Chandrababu had sworn in a speech to the Assembly on November 19, 2021 that he would again enter the House as Chief Minister. The first session of the new Assembly will begin at 9.46 am on Friday. The session will last for only two days. The newly elected MLAs will be sworn in as MLAs and the Speaker will be elected after that.
Senior MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdhary will administer the oath to the members as Protem Speaker. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be the first to take oath, followed by the Deputy CM. YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will take oath as an ordinary member as he does not enjoy the status of Leader of Opposition.
