Chhattisgarh: India’s leading stock exchange, NSE and the Government of Chhattisgarh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of training the youth of the state in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector. Under this, student skilling programs will be facilitated across the state.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today in Chhattisgarh by Shri Mukesh Bansal, Secretary- Finance, General Administration, Commercial Tax (GST) and Secretary- Chief Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh; and Shri Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, NSE. NSE, in collaboration with the Government of Chhattisgarh, will facilitate student skilling programs across the state, aimed at increasing awareness, building skills and capacity in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sector. This project will increase employment and self-employment opportunities in the BFSI sector.
Skill development, which is important for increasing employment and self-employment opportunities, is one of the key aspects of the Union Budget for the year 2024 and the New Education Policy (2020) of the Central Government. This program is in perfect alignment with the objective of the Government of Chhattisgarh and is set to empower the youth of the state with the required skills and knowledge in the BFSI sector, thereby enabling them to gain better employment opportunities in the future.

This program will not only spread financial knowledge among the people but will also help in strengthening the economy of Chhattisgarh. NSE’s Student Skilling Program aims to provide hands-on training in the BFSI sector.
