Notices issued to 12 teachers, including the principal and clerk; the District Education Officer raided several schools.

Balodabazar. District Education Officer Dr. Sanjay Guhe, along with Balodabazar District Education Officer Rajendra Tandon, conducted a surprise inspection of schools on Saturday. During the inspection, some school principals, teachers, and clerks were absent, and those who were present were found negligent in their duties. Expressing displeasure, the District Education Officer issued notices to 12 teachers, including the principal and clerk, and sought an explanation within two days. This includes two principals, seven lecturers, and three clerks.
The District Education Officer first visited the Government Higher Secondary School, Khatiyapati, in Balodabazar Block. At 9 a.m., only four lecturers were present, while three lecturers and one Grade 2 Assistant were absent: Lecturers LB Shakuntala Dhruv, Ravikumar Sahu, Gajendra Prasad Dhruv, and Grade 2 Assistant Manisha Vishwas. During the inspection, the second period was underway as scheduled, but students were roaming outside, while all teachers were found sitting in the office. Notices were issued to Principal Hemram Dhruv, Lecturers LB Bhuneshwar Prasad Patel, Chhatrapal Singh Verma, Damini Behera, and Vijay Laxmi Patel.
Following this, an inspection was conducted at Government High School, Sudhela. During the inspection, the in-charge Principal, Santaru Singh Paikra, was found absent for the past six days without prior notice. He attended school only three days this month, citing two days as leave and six days as other work. Assistant Grade 2, Rajni Sharma, and Assistant Grade 3, Durga Devi Dhruv, were also absent for the past two days. The midday meal room and food quality were inspected at the Government Primary School and Upper Primary School, Sudhela, and the cooks were instructed to prepare clean and quality food. Disciplinary action will be proposed against teachers who have been absent for a long time.
