North Bank Tea Company felicitates cricketer Uma Chhetri in Nador

Jamugurihat: In a proud moment, North Bank Tea Company honored the state’s rising star, Uma Chhetri, with a financial reward of ₹5 lakh (approximately $1.5 million USD) for her outstanding achievements and contributions. The felicitation ceremony took place in Naduar, Sonitpur district.

In addition, Padma Hazarika, MLA of the Sutia Assembly constituency, personally presented the cheque to Uma Chhetri. This gesture reflects the company’s commitment to supporting and promoting promising talent from Assam who have excelled in their respective fields.

In addition to the monetary award, Chhetri was also presented with a traditional Assamese gamusa, a zorai, and a statue of Bir Lachit Borphukan as a token of respect.
