Noida: Today is the last day for nomination for the second phase

Noida: Thursday is the last day for nomination for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. So far 18 candidates have filed their nomination papers in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Among these, the number of independent candidates is highest. So far 52 nomination papers have been purchased in the district. It remains to be seen on the last date today how many more candidates come forward. In Gautam Buddha Nagar, nominations started on April 1 with the nomination of Samajwadi Party candidate Dr. Mahendra Nagar. After this, on April 2, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Rajendra Singh Solanki, National Party candidate Kishore Singh, Subhashwadi Bharatiya Samajwadi Party candidate Naravedshwar and independent candidates Sanjeev Kumar, Praveen Sharma and Mahakar Singh filed their nominations. According to the information received from the Information Department of the District Election Officer, 11 candidates filed nominations on April 3. In this, Dr. Mahesh Sharma of Bharatiya Janata Party, Manish Kumar Dwivedi of Akhil Bharatiya Parivar Party, Naresh Nautiyal of Bharatiya Rashtriya Jansatta Party, Rajeev Mishra of Jai Hind National Party, Kumari Shalu of Loktantrik Janshakti Party, Ran Singh Duddy of Super Power Indian Party. , Independents Shivam Ashutosh, Rodas Gupta, Mohammad Mumtaz Alam, Ritu Sinha and Ikhlaq are included. A total of 18 candidates have filed nominations so far. District Election Officer Manish Kumar Verma said that the nomination process is going on from March 28. The last date for nomination for the second phase has been kept by the Commission as 4th April. The last date for withdrawal of names is April 8. Voting will take place on 26 April and counting of votes will take place on 4 June.
