Nizamabad: A youth committed suicide after being allegedly harassed by officials of a finance company for not repaying the loan amount in Anchanur village of Domakonda mandal of the district on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Vamshi.
According to reports, Vamshi had taken a loan from a local finance company to buy a bike and when he was unable to pay the monthly installment, the finance company officials started pressuring him. On Friday, the officials went to Vamshi’s house and threatened him. Distressed by the incident, he hanged himself from a tree on the outskirts of the village at night. Police have registered a case and investigation is underway.
