Nissan has finally launched the much-awaited X-Trail SUV in India at Rs 49.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered as the most premium offering by the company in India. It is powered by a sole 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which is paired with a CVT gearbox. The SUV is a fully imported vehicle and the price tag speaks about it.
The 1.5-litre engine that is offered in the Nissan X-Trail is a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and is coupled with a 12V mild-hybrid system. The output of the engine is 163hp and 300Nm. The powertrain of the SUV is paired with shift-by-wire CVT auto gearbox. The engine gets Nissan’s patented variable compression technology which alters compression ratio for performance or fuel efficiency.
In terms of features, the Nissan X-Trail gets a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, wireless charging for smartphone, drive modes, cruise control and much more. Speaking about seating configuration, the SUV gets 7-seater configuration as standard. Coming to the second row of the SUV, there is a 40/20/40 split-folding, sliding and reclining functions, third row 50/50 split-folding, and much more.
Speaking about safety features, the SUV gets seven airbags, auto wipers, ABD with EBD, traction control, front parking sensors, hill-start assist, and much more.
Nissan offers a 3-year/ 1 lakh km warranty on the X-Trail as standard. The SUV also gets three years of free roadside assistance. In the Indian market, the X-Trail rivals the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster.
