Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar has joined his own party JDU. He donned the JDU scarf among party leaders at an event held in Patna on Sunday. It is known that JDU president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is going to go to Rajya Sabha soon. In this context, doubts have been expressed about who will lead the party. It seems that Nitish brought Nishant into politics to lead the party.
Nishant is 50 years old. Usually, top leaders like Nitish Kumar bring their heirs into politics at a young age. But, Nitish has kept Nishant away from politics. The reason is that there is a campaign that Nitish is against hereditary politics. However, since Nitish is currently leaving the state and going to the Center, Nishant was brought into the party to necessarily take care of the state’s responsibilities. Nishant also did not want to inherit his father’s political legacy. He has been staying away from direct politics. Despite being the son of the CM, he used to appear on political platforms only occasionally. It seems that Nishant, who has joined JDU, will get a key position in the Bihar government. Party sources say that Nishant is likely to get the post of Deputy CM of Bihar.
Speaking on the occasion of joining JDU, Nishant said that he will do his best to sustain the party. He said that his father Nitish’s decision to go to the Rajya Sabha was his own decision and he will respect it. He revealed that he will work for the state under his guidance. He said that he will uphold the trust the party has placed in him. The Rajya Sabha elections will be held on the 16th of this month. Nitish’s victory in this election is a formality. After being elected as an MP to the Rajya Sabha, Nitish will resign as the CM of Bihar.
