NIRF Ranking 2024: AIIMS Delhi as the best medical college in India

Delhi: NIRF Ranking 2024: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday unveiled the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 rankings at Bharat Mandapam. Like last year’s ranking, AIIMS Delhi has retained the top spot for the best medical colleges in India. PGI Chandigarh and Christian Medical College, Vellore have got the second and third positions respectively. Talking about dental colleges, Savitha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai has secured the top ranking. While Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi has been ranked number one college for pharmacy. Check out the full list of top medical, dental and pharmacy colleges here:

What is NIRF Ranking?
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and launched by the HRD Minister on September 29, 2015. The framework outlines the methodology to rank institutions across the country.
Higher educational institutions are listed in 13 categories – overall, universities, medicine, engineering, management, law, architecture, colleges, research institutes, pharmacy, dentistry, agriculture and allied sectors, and innovation.NIRF Ranking 2024: Weightage given to each parameter
Teaching, learning and resources, as well as research and professional practice, are each given 30 per cent weightage, graduate outcomes contribute 20 per cent, outreach, inclusion and perception account for 10 per cent of the total weightage
