Nikhil Chandrakar arrested in coalmine scam case

Raipur. ED (Enforcement Directorate) has arrested one more accused in the case of alleged illegal levy in coal transportation in Chhattisgarh. Nikhil Chandrakar has been presented in the special court just a short while ago. This is the first case after the ED’s investigation started, when an accused has been produced in the court late in the evening. Please tell that Nikhil Chandrakar is considered close and trustworthy of Suryakant Tiwari, arrested in the Coal case. At such a time, Nikhil has been arrested and presented in the court, when Suryakant has applied for bail.
The ED (Enforcement Directorate) produced businessman Arvind Singh, arrested in the alleged liquor scam of two thousand crores in Chhattisgarh, in the court of Special Judge Ajay Singh Rajput at the end of the remand period. ED again demanded remand for investigation and questioning, which was accepted by the special judge. ED remand of Arvind Singh has been approved till June 26. At the same time, after the removal of sections 120B and 384 in the charge sheet by the Karnataka Police, Suryakant Tiwari, Mineral Officer Shiv Shankar Nag and Sandeep Nayak, the main accused of alleged illegal levy in coal transportation, have applied for bail. Everyone has argued that no case will be made after removal of section 120B and 384 from the case registered in Karnataka. The matter will be heard on June 26. After two days of debate on the anticipatory bail application of Niranjan Das, Secretary and Commissioner of the Excise Department of Chhattisgarh, the special court has reserved its verdict. A decision on this can come on Wednesday. Advocate Matin Siddiqui appeared on behalf of Das. He argued that no case of 120B is made out. In this case, no case has been registered by the ED anywhere.

The Excise Policy in Chhattisgarh was implemented in April 2019, while Das took over as Excise Secretary and Commissioner in May 2019. Das did not have the responsibility of buying and selling, he looked after the administrative work. No chat has been found in his name. Advocate Siddiqui cited the PMLA Act and said that Das’s angiography has been done. He has kidney problem. He also has problems with blood pressure and diabetes. Apart from this, they are not leaving the country. Significantly, the Karnataka Police has filed a charge sheet against Chhattisgarh businessman Suryakant Tiwari in the Bangalore court, in which sections 120B and 384 have been removed. Section 384 was added during the investigation in the FIR lodged by the ED in July 2022 at the Kadugodi White Field Police Station in Bengaluru. In the said criminal case, sections 120B and 384 come under PMLA. On the basis of these sections, in September 2022, ED had registered a case against Suryakant Tiwari and others and later arrests of other people took place.
