Sports : New Zealand’s 15-member squad for the ICC T20 series between India and Sri Lanka was announced on Wednesday morning.
The T20 World Cup series between India and Sri Lanka will begin on February 7th and conclude on March 8th. The teams for the series are being announced.
A total of 20 teams are participating in this series, divided into four groups. A total of 55 matches will be played at five venues in India, including Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai.
Group A includes India, the USA, Namibia, Pakistan, and the Netherlands; Group B includes Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Oman; Group C includes England, the West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, and Nepal; and Group D includes South Africa, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada.
Pakistan’s first match will be against the Netherlands in Colombo on February 7th. With just a month left for the tournament to begin, each team’s cricket board is announcing its squad. While teams like India, Australia, Sri Lanka, and England have announced their squads, the New Zealand Cricket Board has also announced its squad.
Mitchell Santner remains captain. Finn Allen, who played 36 international matches last year and took 81 wickets, has been called up for his first World Cup call-up.
Following Finn Allen, fast bowlers like Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, and Adam Milne have been considered. Key spinner Ish Sodhi has returned to the team. Captain Mitchell Santner, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra will also pose a threat.
