Ayodhya. The controversy within the community of seers regarding allegations of theft of offerings and donations meant for the Ram Mandir has taken a new turn. A war of words has erupted over a proposed meeting of seers from across the country. Mahamandaleshwar Namdev Das Tyagi—also known as ‘Computer Baba’—a seer from Madhya Pradesh and General Secretary of the National High-Powered Committee, has alleged that the district administration prevented the meeting of seers he had convened from taking place.
Computer Baba stated that his objective was to demand an impartial inquiry into the matter, which concerns the faith of devotees visiting the Ram Mandir. He has demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe the alleged theft of offerings at the temple so that the full truth can be revealed.
He alleged that the administration intervened to stop the meeting and denied permission to hold it as scheduled. Nevertheless, he proceeded to hold a meeting with several seers and mahants (head priests) from Ramdham at a guesthouse near Karsevakpuram.
Following the meeting, Computer Baba and the accompanying seers stepped out and raised slogans protesting the alleged theft of donations. He emphasized that the issue is not merely about money but concerns the faith of millions of devotees; therefore, an impartial investigation is essential.
Computer Baba remarked that the Ram Mandir is a focal point of faith for millions of Hindus worldwide. Consequently, there must be complete transparency regarding the offerings received by the temple and related matters. He asserted that if any irregularities have occurred at any level, they should be investigated, and action should be taken against those found guilty.
He further stated that the community of seers is raising this issue peacefully. Their aim is not to level accusations against any specific organization or individual but to ensure transparency within the system. He reiterated that an investigation would bring answers to all the questions being raised.
Meanwhile, questions have also been raised regarding the administration’s role in this matter. Computer Baba alleges that by stopping the meeting, the administration obstructed the right to express views in a democratic manner. However, an official response from the administration regarding this matter is still awaited. People across the country hold deep emotional ties to matters concerning the Ram Mandir. Devotees harbor a profound sense of faith regarding the temple’s construction and associated activities; consequently, any controversy involving offerings or donations draws close public scrutiny.
It is worth noting that a vast number of people from across the nation contributed to the Ram Mandir’s construction. Demands for transparency regarding the donations and offerings received for the temple have been raised periodically. Now, certain members of the Sant Samaj (community of seers) have intensified their demand for an investigation into allegations of donation theft.
Computer Baba stated that he would continue to raise this issue and, if necessary, devise a strategy for a large-scale agitation involving other seers. He emphasized that the Ram Mandir is a symbol of faith for millions and that the truth regarding every aspect of the matter must be brought to light.
Currently, the controversy surrounding a meeting of seers in Ayodhya has become a major topic of discussion. While Computer Baba and his supporters remain adamant in their demand for an inquiry, all eyes are fixed on the next moves of the administration and the concerned parties regarding this issue.
