Srinagar | The pilgrimage to Shri Amarnath, the holy cave of Baba Barfani situated at an altitude of 3,880 meters in the Himalayan region of South Kashmir, begins on July 1 and will end on August 31. The first batch of pilgrims will leave for Kashmir from the base camp at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu on June 30, a day before the yatra begins to visit the Amarnath cave shrine. A new picture of Baba Barfani has emerged from this Amarnath cave.
The size of Baba Barfani has increased a lot. At the same time, the devotees are also eagerly waiting for the yatra to start. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General S.L. Thousen on Sunday reviewed security arrangements at Baltal base camp and several halting stations en route to the holy cave shrine in view of the Amarnath Yatra beginning in the next few days.
