JCWThe new Mini Cooper hatchback gets a new John Cooper Works version. The new Mini Cooper JCW is based on the New Cooper and sits at the top of the range as the most performance-oriented version. Mini unveiled the new Cooper in India a few months ago. The price of the new Mini Cooper version starts at £31,200 (Rs. 33.91 lakh) in the UK.
The carmaker has not yet revealed any plans to launch the model in the Indian market. However, it is expected to be launched in India next year.

New Mini John Cooper Works: Exterior, Interior Design
The Cooper JCW version gets a blacked out front grille with the Mini John Cooper Works logo in three colours. It is available with both 17-inch or optional 18-inch alloy wheels. Other features of the JCW include JCW-specific LED DRLs. It also gets a new rear spoiler, black rear diffusor and a centrally positioned tailpipe.
The inclusion of JCW specific elements makes it stand out from the standard version of the Cooper.
On the inside, it gets a red and black colour theme, with JCW sports seats that are upholstered in multi-coloured woven fabric and black synthetic leather with red stitching. It also gets a special JCW sports steering wheel, while the overall cabin layout remains unchanged compared to the standard version.
New Mini John Cooper Works: Powertrain, specs
The new Mini JCW uses the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine as the standard Cooper, however, it has been upgraded to produce 231hp and 380Nm of peak torque – 27hp and 80Nm more than the standard hatch. The outputs, however, remain the same as the outgoing JCW model. It retains the 7-speed DCT from its predecessor.
The Mini John Cooper Works can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds, while the JCW Convertible will take 6.4 seconds to do the same. The former has a top speed of 250 kmph, while the latter can go up to 245 kmph.
