The VOA Association Mandal President and Secretary Boddupalli Vasantha and Isam Nagamani expressed their concern that the Village Association Assistants (VOAs) who are working to strengthen the communities and economic development of women in the villages are not getting adequate remuneration for their work. On Wednesday, the VOAs of Singareni Mandal formed a new association in Karepally. Speaking at a meeting held on this occasion, they said that they will work to solve the problems of the VOAs through the association and also work to immediately implement the orders given through the SERP project.
The government demanded that the VOAs be paid full salaries. Later, a new committee was elected. Boddupalli Vasantha was elected as the president of the association, Isam Nagamani as the secretary, and Chikurthi Sujatha as the treasurer. Later, the association officials handed over the petition to Singareni Mandal IKP APM Pidamarthi Venkateswarlu.
