In the case of sudden death of a woman under Jute Mill police station, Jute Mill Police has registered a case against neighbor youth Vijay Khadiya (age 26 years) for instigating the woman to commit suicide and the accused has been arrested and sent on judicial remand. According to the information, the woman committed suicide by hanging herself with a sari in the shade of her house on the afternoon of April 22.
On receiving the information of the incident, Jute Mill Police registered a case under section 174 CrPC and conducted Panchnama proceedings and got the evidence seized tested for histopathology. In the inquest, witnesses and heirs told that there was a love affair between the deceased and Vijay Khadiya. For the last one year, Vijay Khadiya kept physically exploiting the woman by promising to keep her as his wife and then went back on his words, due to which the woman was upset and one day she went to Vijay’s house with all her belongings. Vijay asked her to go back home, then the woman came to her house. Tortured by Vijay Khadiya’s physical and mental torture, the woman committed suicide by hanging herself on 20 April. In the inquest, strong evidence of physical and mental torture of the woman by the accused Vijay Khadiya was found and on 22/07/2024, a crime was registered in Jute Mill Police Station under Crime No. 335/2024 Section 306 IPC. Before the accused absconded, the Jute Mill Police raided the house of accused Vijay Khadiya and took the accused into custody, who was arrested yesterday and produced on judicial remand, where the police has lodged the accused in jail after receiving the jail warrant of the accused.
