Dhanbad: On Tuesday afternoon, a neighbor molested a girl in Jeetpur of Jorapokhra police station area of Dhanbad. Shocked by the molestation of his minor sister, the brother tried to commit suicide. With the efforts of the family and the people around, the brother hanging from the noose was freed and brought down. After this incident, there is anger among the people of the colony.
Regarding the incident, it is said that the minor was alone near her house. Then the neighbor found her alone and molested her. The victim informed her family about this. This news spread in the entire area. Hundreds of women and men from the surrounding area gathered. The victim’s family reached Jorapokhra police station to lodge a complaint against the accused. On receiving this information, the family of the accused youth also reached the police station from behind. They started pressuring not to register the case.
A crowd remained near the police station till late evening. Local people told that the youth has already gone to jail in the case of molestation of a girl. His father is a teacher, while the victim’s father is a labourer. Advocates are making rounds of the police station to ensure that an FIR is not registered. In this regard, the police say that no such complaint has been received.
