Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said the ruling BJP-led alliance will win 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in the northeast in the upcoming elections.
Addressing a press conference here, Sarma said that out of 14 seats in Assam, only three are “undesirable at the moment”.
“The NDA will win 22 out of 25 seats in the Northeast. Except Assam, we are expected to win all the seats in other states in the region,” he said.
The convenor of the NDA’s regional wing, North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), asserted that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are “easy elections” for the ruling front and it will win the elections without any difficulty.
“This time development is the only issue. Massive work has been done to improve the overall infrastructure of the area,” he said.
