Naxalites disrupted traffic, called for Bijapur bandh yesterday and cut the road

Bijapur. Naxalites are busy in carrying out their anti-development agenda by dismissing Chhattisgarh government’s initiative of talks. In this context, calling the Pedia encounter fake, they have called for a bandh on 26th May through banners and posters by cutting the road leading from Awapalli to Usur.

In a pamphlet thrown by the CPI (Maoist) South Sub Zonal Bureau, the bandh has been called, calling the encounter that took place in Pedia on May 10 as fake. Along with this, in the pamphlet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with Vishnudev government of Chhattisgarh have been described as anti-tribal. Bijapur Additional SP Chandrakant Garvana said that the road was cut at two-three places, as soon as we got information about it, our team reached the spot and repaired the road.
