Naxalite with bounty worth lakhs surrendered

Sukma. Today, a Naxalite carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh, operating in the border area of Chhattisgarh-Telangana, surrendered before the police officers without weapons. The surrendered Naxalite has been active in the organization for the last 15-16 years. He is a resident of village Burkalanka of Kistaram police station. In Sukma, influenced by the Chhattisgarh Government’s “Chhattisgarh Naxalism Eradication Policy” and the “Puna Narkom Campaign” being run by the Sukma Police, the new dawn, the new beginning, has exposed the inhuman, baseless ideology of Naxalites and their exploitation, atrocities and external Naxalites. Fed up with discrimination and violence against local tribals, Roshan alias Sammaiya Sodi (30 years) of CRC Company No. 02 in the Naxalite organization, resident of Burkalanka, Pantapara Police Station, Kistaram District, Sukma, was arrested by Kiran at the Superintendent of Police Office, Sukma on March 20. Under the government’s “Chhattisgarh Naxalism Eradication Policy”, incentive amount and salaries were provided to the surrendered Naxalites and other assistance and facilities will be provided. District Force Sukma and Intelligence Branch of 217 Corps CRPF have made a special contribution in encouraging Naxalites to surrender. In the year 2018, village Pujarikanker of Usur police station under Bijapur area of the district was involved in a police-Naxalite encounter, in which 10 Naxalites were killed. In the year 2021, Tekalguda village bordering Sukma under Bijapur district was involved in a police-Naxalite encounter.
