Naxal victims protest at Jantar Mantar after CM Vishnudev Sai’s encouragement

Raipur. With the inspiration and support of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Naxal victims of Bastar today held a “Kenja Naxalite-Manwa Mata” (Listen Naxalite our talk) movement at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Chief Minister Sai, understanding the pain of the Naxalite victims, inspired them to make their voices heard in Delhi and encouraged them for this important step. Chief Minister Sai communicated several times with the villagers affected by Maoist violence in the Bastar region and closely understood their pain and suffering. He felt that the problems of these victims cannot be limited to the state only and need to be raised at the national level. It was only after this initiative of the Chief Minister that the Naxalite victims took the bold decision to put forth their rights and demand for peace in front of everyone at Jantar Mantar.

During the movement at Jantar Mantar, the villagers expressed the physical, mental and social sufferings they suffered due to Maoist violence. They told how the violence of the Naxalites affected their lives and disrupted the process of development in their villages. The villagers demanded strict action against Naxalism from the government and appealed for permanent peace and security in their area.

After this agitation, this group of Naxal victims will meet Union Minister Amit Shah. They will discuss the current situation of Bastar and issues related to Naxal violence with the Home Minister and submit a memorandum for solution. The memorandum will demand restoration of peace in Bastar, speeding up development work and proper deployment of security forces.

This inspiring initiative of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has given the Naxal victims of Bastar an opportunity to raise their pain and problems at the national level. His encouragement and support has given these victim families a new path of hope for justice and peace, which is expected to move forward towards peace and development in Bastar.
