It is being told that the jawans had gone out on anti-Naxal operation late on Wednesday evening. While returning, they came under the grip of IED near Tarrem in Bijapur.
The police had received information that Naxalites of Darbha division are present in large numbers on the border of Bijapur, Sukma and Dantewada districts. Based on this information, a joint team of STF, DRG, Cobra and CRPF was sent for the operation from the three districts. The martyrs are STF constables Bharat Sahu and Satyer Singh Kange. The injured soldiers include Purushottam Nag, Komal Yadav, Siyaram Sori and Sanjay Kumar. They have been referred to Jagdalpur Medical College. After this, everyone will be brought to Raipur from here via helicopter. Martyr Bharat Sahu was a resident of Raipur and Satyer Singh Kange was a resident of Narayanpur.
