Solan: The body of a Nepali woman was found in a locked room in Holag village of Ramshahr area of Nalagarh subdivision yesterday. Nalagarh DSP Bhishma Thakur said that the Nepali couple had rented a room from Jagat Ram of the same village on July 6 at a monthly rent of Rs 1,000. Although the landlord asked about their identity, the couple Bahadur and Ganga said that they would get the identity cards through post in a few days. Both of them worked as laborers in the nearby area of Holag village. On July 10, another tenant Gaurav informed the landlord that a dead body was lying on a bed in the room, which was locked from outside. There was a foul smell coming from the body wrapped in a blanket. According to Gaurav, the deceased has been identified as Ganga and the room was locked since July 8. The village head called the police. A case of murder has been registered and investigation is underway.
