Maharashtra : Monsoon has recently entered the state, leading to cloudy sky and light to moderate rain in many areas including Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada. Heavy rain is likely in isolated areas of Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri. The weather department has forecast rain on June 4, with moderate rain likely in Mumbai and adjoining areas such as Thane, Palghar and Raigad and heavy rain in parts of Sindhudurg.
A coastal warning has been issued due to 3-4 metre high waves. After Konkan, Pune, Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur are likely to receive light to moderate rain, especially in the Ghats. Marathwada may witness light thundershowers at isolated places, along with cloudy sky. Vidarbha, Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha and Chandrapur may witness rain and drizzle.
