MP: Dispute during Prabhat Pheri in Indore, youth stabbed to death

Indore: A youth was stabbed to death following a dispute during the traditional ride ‘Prabhat Pheri’ in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning. A police officer gave this information. Prabhat Pheri is an age-old traditional religious procession which was taken out from Ranjit Hanuman Temple in the city at around 4 am on Thursday morning.

The deceased youth was identified as Shubham Raghuvanshi. After the incident, a group of Bajrang Dal workers met Indore Police Commissioner (CP) Makarand Deuskar and demanded action against the accused. “A young man named Shubham Raghuvanshi had gone to participate in Prabhat Pheri this morning and during this time he had a dispute with some youth. After a dispute, the young man was stabbed to death.

A case has been registered in the matter.” Indore CP Makrand Deuskar said, ten police teams have been deployed to nab the accused. He said that apart from this, information about the residence of the accused has been sought from the Municipal Corporation and if it is found illegal, action will be taken to demolish it.
