Madhya Pradesh: The new year is still two weeks away, but 90% of the rooms in hotels and resorts operated by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) at the state’s tourist destinations are already booked for the period from December 25, 2025, to January 2, 2026.
Tourists from different parts of the state and the country have made advance bookings to celebrate the new year at national parks and sanctuaries, pilgrimage sites, and other tourist destinations, especially Pachmarhi. MPSTDC has a total of approximately 1,400 rooms in its hotels and resorts.
The corporation operates 11 units in Pachmarhi, with a total of 89 rooms. Most of these rooms are booked from Christmas through the New Year. Pench National Park has approximately 10 rooms.
In Bandhavgarh, the White Tiger Forest Lodge, operated by the corporation, has approximately 38 rooms across three different categories, which are almost fully booked. MPTDC has three units in Kanha National Park with approximately 55 rooms. Only a few rooms are available on various dates between December 25 and January 2026.
